Does Minoxidil Stop Hair Loss? Here's The Answer.

Posted on

Before we even start it is foundational to understand what is the actual cause of hair loss (androgenetic alopecia).

Hair loss is caused by a blood flow restriction to the hair follicle.

Did you know that over 96% of our entire body is made up of only 4 Molecules? That sounds hard to believe right? I agree. But it’s true. Oxygen (65%), carbon (18.5%), hydrogen (9.5%), and nitrogen (3.3%).

So if over 65% of our body is made up of oxygen, how important do you think that molecule is to our hair follicle?

This restriction of blood flow is actually the #1 cause of death in the United States. Cardiovascular disease kills 1,774 per day! And 647,000 per year in the US alone.

When you have a “heart attack” the cause is a restriction of blood flow through the arteries which are delivering oxygen and other nutrients to the heart muscle and when the muscle is working but not getting the nutrients it needs, the heart muscle dies, aka “heart attack”.

The same thing is happening to your hair follicles.

When blood flow is being restricted to your hair follicle, your hair starts to weaken. Just like cardiovascular disease you don’t notice it at first. It starts out very gradually and over time it keeps thinning and thinning until your hair follicle is so weak it cannot produce a fiber of hair.

Minoxidil (Rogaine) and Propecia (finasteride) are trying to solve the hair loss problem with two different approaches. Both of which were complete random accidents by the way. Minoxidil was being studied for high blood pressure and finasteride was being studied to reduced enlarged prostates.

Minoxidil is a vasodilator used to reduce hypertension (high blood pressure). To put it simply, it increases the diameter of the vessel to allow for easier flow through the vessel, therefore reducing the pressure in the artery.

This makes sense for hair loss then because if hair loss is caused by a restriction of blood flow and you increase the flow, problem solved right? Not so much.

Yes, it can help increase the blood flow, but what is reducing or stopping blood flow in the first place? Ah hah, the CAUSE!

Minoxidil is kind of like if someone is standing on a garden hose reducing the flow of water through the hose and you go over to the faucet to try and turn up the pressure, but without removing your foot from the hose.

Yes, you may get a little more water through the hose, but you still are not solving the problem; the restriction. Make sense?

Finasteride (Propecia) is trying to tackle the issue from a different perspective and in my personal opinion, much worse.

The actual cause of hair loss is blood flow restriction to the hair follicle caused by DHT attaching to the androgen receptor of the hair follicle.

So finasteride is attempting to actually treat the cause by reducing what is called “serum” DHT. The amount of DHT throughout your entire body and bloodstream.

The idea is that if DHT is causing hair loss and you stop DHT, you will stop hair loss. In theory, it makes sense, but here's the problem.

DHT, a form of testosterone, is a natural and healthy hormone that our body needs to function properly. That is why there are so many negative side effects with Propecia (finasteride) and other products focused on blocking DHT.

Depression, extreme chronic fatigue, brain fog, slow healing were all side effects I experienced when taking Propecia (finasteride) and it’s stronger relative dutasteride, both focused on lowering DHT in your body.

The worst part was that finasteride didn’t even stop my hair loss. To reduce DHT to a level low enough to actually have a significant effect against hair loss, it would have to be a much higher dose than 1 mg of finasteride or dutasteride, and the consequences and side effects would be horrible.

You would basically be castrating yourself and reducing your hormone level so low that side effects would make your hair loss the least of your problems.

So you would think that you could just apply finasteride to the scalp topically and that would solve the problem. The issue is that finasteride is effective at reducing DHT production from the prostate, but it doesn’t bind to the hair follicle to reduce DHT where hair loss is actually taking place.

That is why Adegen ARB is such a revolutionary technology. Because it is a natural and completely safe fatty acid that binds to the hair follicle and inhibits DHT from attaching. Adegen ARB is actually treating, stopping, and blocking the cause of hair loss at the site of hair loss; the hair follicle.

By inhibiting DHT from attaching to the androgen receptor of the hair follicle you are allowing the hair follicle to function the way nature intended. Adegen ARB also has different products and ingredients that feed the hair follicle essential nutrients and increase circulation to reverse hair loss, so we can once and for all make HAIR LOSS HISTORY®.

I see that you guys have not raised any money witch is cool. But if it comes to the point that you do need to raise money. There’s a few platform like startengine.com or Wefunder.com that you guys can do crowd funding. I would even invest in it because I’m a believer already.
