Adegen exists because I was trying to solve my own hair loss problem, and nothing on the market worked.
I tried every formula I could find. I traveled to South Korea (widely considered the cosmetic capital of the world), and to Germany, meeting with dermatologists and researchers to find something that actually addressed the root cause of hair loss. Eventually, I met a doctor who had developed the ARB ingredient, a specific composition of fatty acids that binds to the androgen receptor at the hair follicle and blocks DHT locally, without affecting DHT systemically.
From there, we've built out a team that includes several of the top PhD chemists in the world. One of them, now on staff at Adegen, is the co-inventor on that original patent, and in my opinion one of the best formulation chemists alive.
But here's the thing most companies miss. The active ingredients are only half the battle. The other half is the solvent system, the delivery vehicle that keeps the active ingredients stable, soluble, and able to penetrate through the epidermis to reach the follicle.
That's where the real art and science lives. It's not just what you put in the bottle. It's the base fluids and solvents that keep everything stable and drive the actives into the scalp where they can actually do their job.
